Access to Baby and Child Dentistry (ABCD)
Welcome to the Access to Baby and Child Dentristy (ABCD) Program in Island County, Washington.
Tooth decay, although preventable, is the most common chronic disease of children aged 5-17 years – 5 times more common than asthma. Since 2000, the Access to Baby and Child Dentistry Program has been available to Island County
citizens in an effort to improve families’ ability to have their children seen by a dentist.
What ABCD will do:
Provides your child with access to a dentist.
Gives your child a great start in life by making sure all baby teeth are healthy: First Tooth-First Birthday-First Dental Visit.
Provides a positive dental experience.
Prevents your child from later experiencing the pain and discomfort of dental disease.
Provides education about dental health.
