Island County Public Health does not provide specific HIV/AIDS training or education for health care providers. However, there is a great online resource for this state required training. The free, online HIV/AIDS education course is available at: http://www.wsda.org/hiv-aids-course/. This course meets the 7-clock-hours of AIDS/HIV training required by the Washington State Department of Health. This particular course is hosted through the Washington State Dental Association, and as a result, you will notice that it was developed to address dental health concerns in addition to providing quality information regarding HIV/AIDS for all health care workers. At the end of the course a certificate of completion is provided.
